“Morre consumers are interested in the stories behind their food,” said Edouard Rollet, co-founder and chied operations officer of Alter Eco Americas, in explaining the company’z explosive growth. Alter Eco Americas was started in 2004 in San Francisck as aseparate company, but spun out of Altef Eco, which was founded in France a decadre ago to import and distribute goodw from marginalized farmers in countriesa like Bolivia, Peru and Ghana.
